i thought the manual said to check it on idle. but ive heard to check it with the engine off.. can someone straighten this out for me?
check oil level with engine on or off?

Transmission fluid is checked hot while running. Engine oil is checked hot while off. Give the oil a couple of minutes to drain before checking.

Let it stand for 30 minutes before checking if you want an accurate reading as our motors pump a lot upstairs and it takes awhile to drain back.
