So my car would just shut off when I would drive on the highway but not in the city so I got some harnesses for free and decided to make them one. The best one hand no knock sensors so I read online how to do the rewire and took me a day to go threw the entire harness and check everything and it was a pain. I got it done finally and installed it today. Also did the starter relay mod at the same time. Went to start the car and nothing just cranking but no spark. Checked everything and figured it was the cps clip harness side. I checked my old harness and looked at the wires and sure enough the black red and blue wires were all wrong fixed it and fired right up.

old harness I am guessing this was the problem.

Is that melted point right where the harness turns from the last intake runner and heads to the firewall? LOL.
Because that's the exact spot where mine looks like that. And on the highway(after about 30 minutes of driving), My car used to pop the efi fuse and shut off.
It was resting on that egr pipe and heating up. All I had to do was reposition it away from that spot and it never did it again.

Happened on my car too, and I was told to check this spot when it happened, so it is rather common I guess. The problem is that the supporting clips for the harness break and the harness sags and rests right on the hot ass EGR pipe, melting through the insulation and causing it to short out.

Yeah I wish someone told me..... Billy and I pushed my supra the four blocks back to my house. One block was uphill!!! Wanted to shoot myself. Then took me 2 weeks to figure it out. Finally jumpered the fuse with wire till it started smoking, then i figured out where it was shorting......
