Have you checked for any codes? That should always be your first thing to do when experiencing problems with your car.

^^^ supraherowned lol, jp. Thought it up and I had to say it... studying messes with your mind.

Codes will help a lot because it could be any number of things. Since you just replaced the battery the first and obvious thing to check is the connections near the battery. Next you'll want to check fuses, although i don't know what it could be that has blown to cause failure to idle.

Other then that it could be ECU caused... I donno.

Codes will help.

so, i took the wifes car to work and let the supra sit in the garage. came back for lunch and decided to try to start it up again and do more trouble shooting. well, now everything works as it should. i dont get it, i did no maintenance other than install a new battery. and so i took it to work and its been working fine ever since... what the heck, man!

After you didn't crank it..................did you have any codes at all? In my defense, it's been a while since I've had to check codes since I've gone 1j..............:evil2:

I couldn't resist............sorry.

If you installed a new battery, then you would need to let the car "re-learn" by taking it down the road for 5 minutes or so.

None of my supras have ever wanted to idle after I killed the memory...
