Car spewed coolant after running hard

Took my car out for a spirited drive today and went I brough it home I noticed it spewed a bit of coolant out of the overflow tube and on to the intercooler. Occaisonally I've gotten the odd drop or two but this was a somewhat substantial amount.

Anybody have some ideas? As far as I know the cooling system is working well (new hoses, thermostat, rad cap, coolant) all within the last few hundred miles. The car didn't miss a beat the entire drive and I really had it floored a few times, without a performance hit or any signs of overheating.

The only sign something is amiss is that I had a small pool of collant directly below the intercooler.

Ideas?

How full was your overflow bottle when you started out cold?

Could be a number of things. Check the radiator cap first...you could have got a bad one. Might not be a bad idea to have the cooling system pressure tested to see if you have an air leak somewhere.

Your radiator could also be getting clogged up, but that would likely cause an over heat...same thing for the fan clutch.

When I test drove my Supra, the low coolant light was on. So i checked for signs of a BHG and everything looked good (later found the leak, a turbo coolant hose). So after I bought it I filled up the reservoir a bit over the full mark. I took it for a drive and when I got home, I had some coolant coming from the overflow. It flowed out untill it was right above the line, so it was obvious I had just put in too much water.
