hi guys im new to supras and my 87 7mgte runs like shit. it just dont wanna run right. but with the heater on it seems to run great. any ideas? oh and my turbo was glowing red like bright red. is that normal? i mean i ran the car up and down the road like 4 or 5 times with heater on at bout 130 miles an hour. so i know they get hot but is it supposed to glow?

like taking off in first.. it seems to me like its not getting fuel it dont wanna go it boggs down and jerks. but if i ease into the pedal it will go but flooring it it wont go it will bog down. but with the heater on it runs like brand new. but it does that in all gears. and not just flooring it either. sometimes easing into it it dont wanna go but lettin off the pedal and then tryin again it goes. but heater on and no probs. and no i havent pulled codes yet.
hmm im lost on this one. dont know whats affected by heater. but seems to me like a wiring issue? maybe bad afm? maybe tps? lol pull the codes first and let us know what they are if any.
ok. thanks. will keep you posted. i bought this car running for 600$ well it didnt run. lol but it did. guy couldnt figure it out. i climbed under it and the starter connector was off. i plugged it in and started the car. body is in great shape and a nice pearl paint job with decent interior. but someone AFRO engineered this car. none of the shit was bolted down under the hood the turbine housing clamp was gone. idk for how long that was driven like that. and would a knock sensor being unplugged make it run worse? cuz mines unplugged. cant find harness plug. any help?

and yes. running without the knock sensor connected will make your car run real rich. it'll feel like ass.. if you cant find the plug.. you can re-wire it (there is a guide here, just search for it) or pm Shaeff he sells a greal re-wire kit.. takes 10 mins to install.

When you say heater on, do you mean actual heat blowing or just the fan blowing? could have an issue with coolant flow, possibly. Or maybe vac to the heater control vsv. vac leak with heater off?
