i know i already posted this in my "ticking noise problem" thread but i needed to make sure more people can read this. because it has escaladed to a bigger problem.

alright guys i took apart the y-pipe so i could have access to the right vavle cover (i was hearing a ticking noise comeing from there). i took it off and looked inside. it seemed normal ,i doubled checkd my sparkplugs and spark plug number 4 has some coolent in it same with number 3 and and number 5,but number 4 was the worst. so i cleened it up ,put everything back together. made sure all my connections were secure and correct. i started it up and she sounded ok. now im driving to the store and she starts to missfire so i said its probally just a loose wire. i pull over to make sure everything was ok , i can see some coolent around the number 4 plug. i get back in the car and start it up and she still miss firing. i keep driving towards the store and then everything else just went wrong. the cars miss fire got worse more then ever before, then she just died. i pull over and decide to take apart the y-pipe so i can get to the spark plug #4 when i pull the wire i can see that the chamber is full of coolent so thats the cause of my miss fire. i try cleaning it up getting as much of the coolent out. and i find out theres some in surrounding chambers so i do the same. i once again put everthing else back together makeing sure my connections are secure and when i go to start it she just wont start. the engine turns and when i give it sum gas she'll fight to say alive but very very weak, and as soon as i let off the gas ..she dies. right now the car is stuck behind a gas station and i need to fix it quick before they tow it. i need your guys help FAST. im thinkin the coolent messed up the spark plug so i have to replace that. just let me know what you guys think.

I think know exactly what happend:biglaugh: There is a coolant line that runs to your throttle body. Check to see if it is properly attached or if it has a leak. Same thing happend to my n/a after I changed the plugs and wires.

That hose gets brittle from heat and you probably bent it out of the way causing it to crack. It is small and looks like a vacume line but its not.
Don't pull the plugs untill all the coolant is out of the way. Get a roll of those blue paper towels from an auto zone or whatever and stick them in each hole till you get it all out.

Replace the wires as they are probably shot now(mine were) the plugs may be ok(check). Put it all back together and replace that little coolant line and go. Hope this helps:icon_bigg

oh man i think u maybe right. i know which coolent line your talking about and it is cracked and brittle. so what your saying is get a new hose and stick the the paper towels in which holes the coolent line holes? or the spark plug chamber holes?.

:biglaugh: If they look boiled from the coolant they probably are fouled.....just get a new set if they look bad. Clean them up and see if they work first. Your plugs should be alright... just make sure they are clean. My wires fell appart because they were so fried by the coolant :nono: . But my plugs were fine! coolant never made it past the seals.

Spray out all the plug wire boots with WD-40. It will displace any water and coolant, and give you a good contact again. Find and fix the coolant leaks before they cause a bigger, more complicated problem.

Alright guys i just came back from the gas stations from where i was stranded with the SUPRA! i took out all the plugs cleaned them, same with the wires. bought a new clamp for the coolant line that comes out of the throttle body and tighten it up real good. turned her on and she lives...so far. i made it home with NO MISS FIRING! :) im gonna buy new hose for that coolant line because the other end is hidden below the engine and it would of been a pain trying to work on it at the gas station. so my goal was to atleast make it home and avoid my car being towed. :). THANKS ALOT TO EVERYONE REALLY.

ps. the thread heading is a typo..sry.
