unless its from a reputable company on ebay i wouldnt touch it with a 10ft pole.Contact jawsgears about one of their steel deals, its significantly cheaper than the al. piece.

What are the weights of the steel and alluminum? I thought a remember the alluminum one being only 2-3 pounds lighter for $130 more... is it worth it?

No. There are a few applications where the steel would be more desirable. Primarily because it can withstand more torsional stress than aluminum, IIRC.

steel is 14 and aluminum is 12 i believe. It wasn't worth it to me for the extra 2 lbs. You are already splitting the weight over half by getting the 1-piece. The stock one is around 32lbs. That was the weight of the box when I shipped out a complete R154 driveshaft.

i don't know i care enough, at low rpms right now theres like grinding sound coming from my center bearing, i know it's gone, I just want it to be smoother at low rpm, right now it's plently smooth at high rpm, Im getting a drive shaft that's in good shape for $70 shipped, later i might go 1 piece.

I would go with steel I just found that I twisted/Bent mine from drag racing it was made by a reputable vendor.

i would go with a good company that has a reputation of selling good driveshafts. i wouldn't look at ebay from buying such an important part for the car. i wouldnt want the thing to fall apart while racing.
