Just removed tranny today and noticed my plate is about 50% gone on my clutch,
I plan on doing a full rebuild bottom bearings/mhg/etc etc and really dont plan on going over
350-375hp, Should i just go buy another stock plate from toyota or go with a Aftermarket one?

And should i buy the whole kit or can i just buy the plate and be fine?

I looked in the Transmission/Drivetrain forum but didnt find anything that was subjected
to my little predicament.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: By the way i do drive my car pretty hard.

By 'plate', I assume you're actually talking about the clutch disc? I've never seen much wear on a pressure plate.
Anyway, you can replace just the disc, but at 375hp, you'll probably slip a stock clutch.

Yes the clutch disc, sorry.

Ok and now that i got that question answered,
i'm not sure what clutch to buy? ive been too all the sellers
driftmotion,horsepowerfreaks,titanmotorsports etc and looked
at there clutch kits but im totally dumbfounded when it comes
to the drivetrain stuff and i have no clue about any of this.

Majority of the descriptions don't tell like "This clutch will support
up to 400hp etc"

And im really trying to stay under $350 if thats possible....

Also, whats the pros and cons of buying the whole clutch kit and just
buying the clutch disc? will i need the whole kit if im going to be around 350hp?

Not trying to call you out or anything but why resurface the flywheel?

You are supposed to resurface the flywheel every time you put a new clutch disc on. Its like resurfacing rotors with brakes.

You want a smooth flat surface.

Ok so heres what i have as far as mods and goals....

57-trim CT26, MHG, K&N Airfilter, New Stock Cams, CX Racing Intercooler w/ 3" Hardpipes, and a few other little things.

Now that i think about it i'll probably just be sticking around 300hp area as i dont want other things to start breaking.
I really dont have $500 to spend on a clutch kit, nor do i think i need it, im not gonna be dragging or anything just maybe the occasional
mustang beat down :naughty:

Anything after 300 hp the stock clutch will not last, and even more if you do burn outs and hard launches and race a lot.
