Anywho... I'm starting to get ticked with my car. A little background -
I got the car, starts when warm, but have to try 3-4 times, for 3-4 seconds each, to get her to start when it is cold.
Fast forward past a BHG and generally getting the 7M toward 'new' again, including testing out the CSI, cleaning the CSI, and all is good - car will now start IMMEDIATELY when the car is warm, but still takes 2-3 tries to get her to start right up after sitting overnight.
Now, I've got a MAFT-Pro - the first time I ran it, it fired RIGHT up (video on youtube of it) and I was happy as hell - now I'm thinking the car didn't cool down in the 3 hours or so I took to install it, as I thought. With the MAFT-Pro in SD mode, sitting overnight, this is what I get -
*turn key* Crank crank (1-2 seconds)
*1 second pause*
*turn key* - IMMEDIATELY fires up. Perfectly.
I'm now thinking that perhaps I've got a slightly leaking injector, causing my fuel pressure to bleed out overnight. First second or two of cranking gets the pump going, it repressurizes, and boom - cranked. Time for a fuel pressure gauge :3d_frown:
I'm guessing the best bet will be to bolt a fuel pressure gauge where the CSI injector goes into the fuel rail.
