well my subframe broke last nite due to some heavy road construction...i was able to limp her home and take some pics of it today...upon inspection it appears the bolt that holds the arm to the frame was missing, causing the wheel to shimmy back and fourth thus destroying the frame. my question is could this one piece that broke be welded back together rather than removing and installing a new subframe?

Yes, the subframe can be welded. However it has to be PERFECT. Basically, for all practical reasons don't even attempt it. You can probably pick up another one up for ~$100.

to be honest if it does get welded i could care less if its absolutely perfect as you can adjust it....im more worried if welding it will be strong enough..

Well "easier" for sure as to repair it so you're NOT risking your life each time ya drive it needs to be removed and welded properly!
(easier while it's out to bin it and bolt in one with no damage) ;)
