Bolt on catalytic Converter

Does anyone offer the direct replacement cat besides the dealer, or is the only other option cutting down a generic or universal cat and welding 3 inch flanges on it?

It is giving problems, with possibly plugging up. Put in the test pipe and no more problems.

I bought a 3" high-flow cat from Summit racing for like $35 (this was 4 years ago) and welded flanges on it. It seemed like the cheapest route to go, and was a custom fit.

No, what it was doing was making a strange noise, sounded and felt boost related and was very sluggish. Had this problem before where I suspected the cat, removed it, replaced with test pipe, and no more problems. That was the same approach I took here, by replacing with test pipe. No more problems.
