birdcage warning light?

okay i was cruising last night in my 88 turbo and came across an evo. after a pull from mid 4th to 5th, i slowed back down and returned to normal driving speeds. i then went to turn off at a jughandle. and when turning this light came on next to the temp gauge. but it was only when the car was submitted to lateral g forces. the light looks like a birdcage or something. this morning when i moved the car, the light stayed on and i havent started or looked at it since. does anyone know what this light indicates?

I remember when we picked up my friends 87 targa. even the old owner was like wtf, wheres the bird at. damn bird cage light.

Also you have to ask yourself where the coolant is going? The sensor that trips that light is in the overflow reservoir.

maybe the little sensor thingy inside is stuck or broken.

im sure that the engine was past warm when i went full throttle for about 15 seconds. my temp gauge doesnt work

just check your coolant level and then add coolant. but next time u park it after its been warmed up, make sure u check to see if any spills out of the coolant resevoir.
