What have you done guys done? please tell. Thanks........-Brian

its on the driver side of the engine. if you stick your hand in there below the manifold you can feel it and if you're crafty you can work with it like that. make sure if its the sensor or the wiring.
i stuck a camera in there.

i heard if you take the sensor out and hook it up to a volt meter and tap it...it should give you milivolts..thats the test....i can be wrong

How hard is the wiring to change? It's somewhat involved, you'll need to cut the original wire and splice in the new wire 3" from the connector, then run the new wires into the cabin through the existing harness' grommet.
Inside the cabin, you need to pull the glovebox out, and unbolt the ECU.
Unplug the main connectors and (click here) you want to splice into KNK. Ground the shielding up by the ECU and you should be ready to go. Make solid connections though, don't skimp here and take an easy way out. I, personally, am not a fan of soldering connections in an automotive application. It weakens the wire in my past experiences. I use standard butt connectors with their protective sheathing removed, then I heatshrink over them. Works great.

The price, I'll let shaeff chime in. If he doesn't, or can't, I'd be glad to make you a harness.

HTH, YMMV, etc.

Actually, the wiring would be a problem. It's probably THE problem.
The KS wiring is shielded. you take the braided shielding and ground it.

no, what im saying is if i need to re-wire it, its not a big deal, thats an easy enough re-wire, my only question was about the right spot to ground it.

is it necessary to ground the ks cable by the ecu? i grounded mine on the other end by the ks and ran the ground wire to the neg battery ground. Its still coming up with a code 52, would grounding it there cause any problems?

well the car i took the engine out of ran perfectly fine before i rebuilt it. Now iv rewired it 3 times now the first i used reg. wire because i didnt kno they recommend rg58 then i couldnt find any so i tried rg59 so i finallly got ahold of some rg58. Im still getting code 52 so im in the process of pullin my ks and testing them, hopefully ill have a bad one.

yea, like a million times. I just tested my KS and they both seem to test out fine. Although im not sure im testing it right, i hooked the positive lead to the plugin on the KS and the ground to the threads of the KS and tapped on the end with a screwdriver and they both had a voltage spike.

if you have a volt meter, theres a setting on it where it reads resistance through things that conduct. you would need some extra wire to reach both the wire going into the sensor by the ks, and the other at the ECU. its quite involved. hope this helps
