Guys,

My original clutch is finally starting to give up the ghost after about 104k miles. I am wondering what others think the best clutch is for a car with 300-350 whp. I am looking to go with a lightweight flywheel, and would like to keep pedal feel close to stock with driveability near stock. With that said I beleive I am right on the edge of being able to use a stock replacement clutch and I have been thinking about going with the following ACT clutch TS2-HDSS.

Any opinions or information is appreciated.

ACT clutches are great, dont get me wrong but for $800?!

&& idk but for some reason, on there site its $800, and on here driftmotion, EXACT same clutch for $575 lol?
Both are the TS2-HDSS, http://store.driftmotion.com/static/i-ts2-hdss.php

Thats odd?

Im guessing you have the R154, you really just need a pressure plate for that kinda power such as this

Or for that clutch kit, which is the exact same one im using cause my HP goals are just like yours im using

^^^ haha dont pay attention to the price, that is their retail price. I have found it for 525$.

Ohh ok i was like wtf...

But ok yea i mean if you got the extra $100 and dont mind spending it then go for it, ACT clutches are great.
the disk they use is super smooth, my buddy is got the same exact disk but just a different pressure plate.

And as long as you "Know" for a fact your not gonna be going over 400hp then get the ACT, but alot of times people
will be like well im here at 350 but i want a little more.... and more... slip slip.... shit... And of course your saying to yourself
nah 350 will be fine, NO it wont lol. for some reason we can never have enough power, these guys dont lie when they it becomes
to be addicting like a drug.

Yeah, thanks for the pointers. I really think my mk3 is done in terms of modification though, I have started my mk4 fund so money will be going to that purchase so I can have 2 Supras in the garage :)

HI
another vote for act

have had one in my car for over 15K miles, hasn't slipped yet

I'm currently pushing 340whp with no problems

only other clutch I would ever get is an OS giken twin plate

I've got the Action Stage 3 kit from Driftmotion. It has had nothing but good reviews around here, and is supposed to be good up to 500hp. I'm nowhere near that power, and it is a very streetable clutch. For $515, I'd say it's definitely a good option.

I have been pushing a stock toyota pp and a Ebay 6 puck ceramic disk to 430rwtq and its holding up nicely.

toyota pp $80
6 puck $75
pilot and throw out bearing $50
alignment tool Oreillys $3

total $208

But if you have the cash to buy a FULL STAGE 3 go for it. The stock pp and 6 puck will be good for around 400rwtq. Hey good luck with your decision.
