Been way to long since I started this project but I finally got things in order and I'm able to get back to my car. Original thread here Right as I purchased this car I had alot of things get thrown at me, job changes etc. But I have gotten things rolling again so I figured I'd post some pics.

Just going back mostly stock so I can get any bugs in the car worked out then start with mods. I do have a big IC and a nice alum raidiator with dual flexlite fans.

I did all the machine work myself thanks to dad owning a machine shop :D Just 4 pics for now showing off the pertty deck finish and headstuds, setting the valve clearence and mocking up the oil feed line and some of the head work.

That's the bottom of the hole, I ran a thread cleaner all the way down to make sure. My guess is they have extra threads because the same stud size is used in a different application that happens to work on 7m's also.

Ya supposed go bottom tap the holes to make sure the stud uses all of the whole and has as many threads as possible to spread out the load of the clamping force on.

There is about 1/4inch or 3-4 threads that need to be tapped.

Been moving along last few weeks, Engine is ready to go in so now I'm tackling the fuel system. Got the tank dropped today and it was ugly inside. Got some Por15 tank re-sealer coming. I was looking at a fuel pump regulator combo off ebay Here Looks like it might be a pertty good deal but I'm kinda iffy about it and might just go with the walboro.

Also took 2 pics of the intercooler, I'm wondering if I should install it or not because it's so huge. I'm just gonna run a stock turbo for now so I think the size might be counter productive.

Any input/guidence would be appreciated.

Got some more go fast goodies today. I decided to go with aeromotive and not take the chance on some no name brand. I believe that should take care of my fuel demands for almost anything I will do in the future. 2011-08-31_10-14-58_243.jpg

Mine are the same way, aswell as me seeing lots of other 7m's like this. I chased and bottom tapped mine and didnt gain any threads.

You have to bottom tap new threads not just chase the current threads.

In the last week or so been trucking along as work permits. The fuel tank is cleaned out and epoxied along with sending unit and gas neck. I can say other than the amount of time invested in getting the tank clean enough it went good but it can be messy for sure. I took some pics of the tank for anyone interested. I think it turned out really well.

Also changed the front transmission seal, ran my fuel system cleaner through the fuel lines to clean them out and finished the last few things on the motor today so now it's ready to go in. Hopefully tomorrow I will have the motor most of the way installed and fuel tank back in. And just for kicks a pic with the motor in front of the car, came out a little blurry though.

It's finally in and running. Had a little surge problem but a quick swap of the ISCV fixed that since the other one was froze up. It went smooth other than me picking my brain trying to remember where everything went. Primed the fuel and set psi and touched the key and it fired up and ran smooth as silk. Only down side is I gotta pull the turbo off I believe sine it's pouring smoke out the exhaust. I checked the plugs and there perfect so that leads me to believe the rear turbo seal is leaking. But I do have another ct26 standing by that I was told was good but I was told the other one was good too. Alot of work to go yet but I can honestly say I love working on it.
