I was cleaning the Flex plate after an engine overhaul (it had 139,000 miles on it) and saw the damage. My car is only putting out about 350RWHP and 400RWTQ. The Center of the flex plate is almost ripped right out!!! I have a 3000 stall converter and a built auto and can rip off a pretty good 1/4 mile(12.5), but never thought it would rip metal too.!!

Does anyone make a aftermarket Flex Plate for the A340???

Anyone else had this problem???

Yep but ya don't need to weld em as you'll bolt through both at the crank and the convertor.

I made a flywheel this way for my Toyota 4V V8 and bolted a piece of 1/2" to it as a friction surface.
