I know, I know, needs a front lip of some kind. I'm still deciding what I want to do, shineauto maybe? I'm a little apprehensive since I'm debating on whether or not I should switch over to a 89+ bumper. Already payed for one of KevinM sexy sunshades, can't wait to get that one in!

very nice shots and very nice car! :)
Just curious, what sort of camera and lens are you using?

Thanks! I'm shooting a Canon 50D through a Tamron 17-50mm lens.

Thanks guys!! Stoked to finally have this car on the road. Been up on stands for good while. Bought the car in August, did a full rebuild, even gave the engine block the hot tank treatment. Ripped the interior apart and replaced all the missing pieces, removed all the excess wiring the previous owner did, righted some wrongs, generally gave the thing a good refresh. Gave the fluids in the R154 and LSD a good flush and refill with some good ole' RP. Now the thing doesn't whine and shifts buttery. Finally I can work on the exterior. Will be ordering a Shine Auto Pre-89 lip here in a bit, and will be thinking about some 17x9" wheels for daily driving. Will update this thread as more parts accumulate :biglaugh:

I like... the photos are quite flattering, great lighting...

about the rims.... you do realize there are rights and lefts, and those slots are that shape for a cooling purposes...
its cool to blame it on the tire guy though....

I'm well aware, and trust me I tried to orientate them in the proper direction. However the tires that are on the car from the previous owner are directional, and because of they way they are mounted, its impossible, short of remounting the tires appropriately, to get the slots facing the correct direction. The sawblades will be my track day wheels, so when I switch over to Star Specs, I'll make sure everything's facing proper.

man thats a sharp car, I almost ran a set of black saw blades before i bought my bbs RK's.
looking forward to updates.

I remember seeing your black BBS wheels in another thread. Love 'em! I'm still debating on the direction I wanna go with my wheel choice, but I do like the black on white look.

Also, my valve train is noisy as hell. I checked the clearances during assembly and the exhaust side seemed a little loose but not too out of spec. I've searched the forums and read that the 7M head tends to be noisy. I also pulled timing a bit, about 5°, before smog, gonna zero it out and see if that makes any difference or it really is the valve train.

Still waiting on my shineauto lip to arrive and other goodies! Will post pics as soon as they get on the car.

Added some goodies over the weekend. KevinM sunshade, Shineauto Lip, the most obvious. Also replaced my rusted HKS Twin Tip Canister with a single tip magnaflow. That didn't feel too good, but the thing was rusted beyond saving. Under the hood, I installed a fresh powersteering pressure line, so no more leaks! On order; Weir performance shim kit for the rear diff, stainless steel Goodridge brake lines and EBC pads.

It was way too late to catch the sun for some proper photos, but I did my best with parking lot lighting.

I'd love to score a set of RS Watannabe's but I'd have a better chance of winning the CA lotto :biglaugh:
