AT to W58 swap one question.

Im going to be doing a AT to W58 swap pretty soon i have a parts car that was originally a N/A so the transmission should be good and i dont intend on making over 350hp anytime soon. my friend has a MK2 with the w58 and is making 500+ so my power should be fine until i get a R154. my only question is how to wire in the reverse lights? i saw a thread that pointed to SF but for some reason my account was disabled at SF. thanks for the help,

Thanks for the Link, im doing a 5seed swap also.


For those Turbo guys who have gone auto to 5 speed.

Is it true that if you keep the stock auto ECU, the turbo will spool slower in between shifts? A member on here said it.

What does the ECU have to do with the turbo? There shouldn't be a difference.
