the novocaine is the worst. i've only had stiches 4 times; once in my foot, twice in my chin, and once in my eyebrow. i can't decide which hurt worse, the foot or the eyebrow. my foot got stabbed a total of 8 times w/ the novocane needle. but on the other hand, the eyebrow got stabbed twice and when they did that they pushed the needle in from the side of my head, to the end of the brow, and then pulled it out while slowly releasing the novocane.
Ok, just got back from the hospital. 3-9 is not so bad for the one i went to. Lol. This post is definitely not for the weak. I will post the less ugly ones first (the finished pics)

at first i didnt scroll down all the way when looking at the first pic and saw the little scratch on your shin and was like "man what a pussy" but now i see. 'tis a gash to be envious of.

WOW! You were not joking--it really is as bad as you described.
I check on this thread earlier and thought maybe you were exagerating, but that does look bad. I know it will heal OK, but...ouch.
I have to say that I probably work on the slow side, but that's because I am as careful as I need to be.

Just to be sure, you work at an oil change place like Valvoline Instant Oil (I know how their shops are usually like) and you fell and got your leg snagged during the fall?

haha, actually i've been to the ER twice this week. was coughing for a week and nothing helped as it got worse until i would vomit because of coughing so hard. they said it was a bacterial infection in my sinuses and throat. took the medicine and it didnt get better. started getting worse till i would start choking after i cough. i would gasp for air, but couldn't breathe. then the final time on wednesday night i was layin with the gf in bed when i started coughing, puked up in my hand, so i ran to the bathroom and couldn't breathe at all for about a minute. i blacked out on the way to the hospital.
the doctor said i have environmental allergies....
blah. don't want to jack your thread, just relating to the hospital trip. i guessi was lucky in that both times i went there was no wait at all.
hope things get better and also hope there are some hot nurses for you to check out while you wait!

Yea, there was a metal grate that was moved that was never moved. I took a step and it wasnt there. There was little nubs on the front of the grate and it caught my leg going down. Luckily i caught myself before i made it all the way to the bottom. I didnt even really notice it was there until I felt the blood drip down. I started to black out and then my vision went white, kinda like an over exposed picture. It was weird. But it was back to normal in like 15 mins. It didnt bleed much at all. Only the part closer to the surface bled a little. Hence the line on my shin and the bloodstain on my sock. I got a presciption for percecet and some antibiotic that starts with a k. And then the damn hospital forgot to give me my tetanus shot so we had to go back. Hospitals today....:3d_frown:
Yeah, I did notice that there was not much blood at all, but just a bit on your sock.
I had my index finger just about chopped off yet hardly any blood came out - weird how that works out.
I just have a scar that is hardly noticable, so I was lucky in that accident in where it happened on what part of my finger.
You blacked out not from the physical pain or anything like that, but from the 'OMG effect.'

Yea, it didnt even hurt so it was definitely the OMG effect. And it was probably adrenaline wearing out because i broke into a cold sweat. I broke into one a few times today. Once when I got it, once when i got the novocaine shots, and once when he was putting the stitches in. I must say, he did a damn good job. And it was free, went on workers comp. It was kinda funny seeing everyone freak out while i was sittin there makin jokes about it. I thought it looked like a big vagina. Lol.
Dont you just hate it when things are or are not where you expect them. Long time ago I was playing game of nite capture the flag up in the mountains of Cloudcroft New Mexico, was on the enemy side about to get caught , anyway jump up and was hoofing it to freindly territory when bam I was looking at the sky and couldn't feel my legs. turns out their is this rusty remnants of a barbed wire fence a had run into. When I hit the fence I slid along and rotated around(Imagine barbed wire buzz saw.) . cut 1/2- 3/4 inch cuts to the fat just above my kneecap. never felt any pain until doctor used rough bristle brush next day to clean wound.
