Arp head stud kit issue (washers) help!

So putting the head on today and I can fit the washers that come with the kit on the studs is it ok to leave them off or am I goin about this wrong

You can fit the washers?
Then fit the washers.

You need to put the washers into the head first (stick them in place with some grease) then lower the head onto the Studs, either that or put the head on first then washers then studs.

And 100% NO it's not alright to leave them out.....
