I like to think I was the pioneer for this "hack". If you've got an engine bay to eat off of, this probably isn't for you.
Basically, I'm a computer geek, I also know my wiring and so on and so forth. Well, I needed to replace my CPS harness with something that was easy to get, cheap, simple, etc. So, I went with a molex connector.
It was never meant for engine bay temps/use however it seems to be holding up perfectly. Since I installed it, I've not had a single CPS related issue and things are working perfect. Like I said, it's more of a hack because it's not gorgeous, but it's simple and it works.
The easiest thing to do, is to hop over to Radio Shack and pick up a 4 wire molex extension (Not a T adapter, the extension). I think it's like $2, and this will give you the male and female sides, as well as a decent amount of wire (you'll want to trim it to fit). Then you start cutting, soldering, and shrink tubing the older CPS wires to the new plugs, and away you go.
