Hey guys, just want some opinions.

I am looking for a new(er) daily driver. What do you guys think I should get :naughty:

Here are the rules.

I live in CT so I want something decent in the snow, i.e front wheel drive or all wheel drive.

Nice comfortable interior, leather, maybe heated seats. Maybe something with some luxury and a little "pimp" factor :evil2:

Can be standard or auto, might prefer auto just in case of traffic.

Good MPG, but should still be able to get out of its own way.

I dont want to spend more then $18,000, preferably $12-$15,000

2001 or younger

Under 70k miles

Some ideas I have already

BMW 3-series XI (AWD)
Subaru WRX
Acura RSX
Audi a4 or a6 maybe a s4 quattro :naughty:
Scion TC
Toyota Celica or Solara
Dodge Caliber

Anyone have any good ideas???

How about a Rav4. We have one at work and ive tooken it around a few times and it can pick up and go when I needed it too. I dont know the MPG personally but it seems like it would be fairly good.

ah, trying to get away from SUV's I have a blazer now and I am selling it. Not really too big on trucks, unless I got one for a beater/snow storm/tow vehicle.

My sister has a 2001 4Runner, and its pretty nice, but I think it only gets like 20 MPG on the highway. Could be how she drives it, though.

celica alltracs are terrible dd's.... wait until 1 thing breaks, all hell breaks loose. As for FWD in winter vs rwd, i don't think you've really driven a rear drive car with good winter tires on it before have you?
Anyway, all of the choices equal WRX as the best choice. Watch out for misshifts though!

Yeah, true I forgot about parts availability. WRX's are nice, but I might want something with a bit more luxury.

No love for the beamer's or audi's???

I had a crown vic with decent snow tires, they are more fun, but more prone to getting stuck IMO

I'm guessing your not a Jeep fan, but consider a 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It would fit very nicely in your price range, 4WD status, 4.0L inline six is indestructible, gets decent gas mileage, very luxurious(the black leather is awesome).

PS: Its not the model thats in my sig, I have a 1996.

EDIT: 4-Runner's are AWESOME too! Press shift and press 4. They are MONEY(another word for cool/neat/awesome in case your of the older generations)
