I'm more worried about the sand on the road than I am sbout that.
The drz is stupid easy to handle, I'm hitting the corners hotter than I should and I'm never concerned about it sliding out. (Maybe I'll do it on purpose in the future, lol)

I ride right up to the first snowfall and start in the spring before all the snow is gone off the grass, as soon as there is no chance of me getting caught in a blizzard... And the roads are somewhat dry. Heated grips and seat help a lot!

It hardly gets below 55 at night during winter. On rare occasions we will get into the 40s but that's rare. Either way I'm still riding
I went to my local DMV when it was closed to practice the bike course and found it impossible. The next day I asked my brother to go with me and see if he can help me do it, but he was worse than me. I was on my Ninja 300, he was on his '08 R6.

I also can't get much practice in before my left hand starts killing me. My brother said to give up and do what he did; fork up the 200-something bucks and take a class, then take that completion certificate and trade it for a license at the DMV.

EDIT #2: I changed it from "youtube.com/watch?v=blahblahblah" to "youtu.be/blahblahblah" and now it works. Don't know why, both are exactly the same thing.

What part are you having trouble with? And yes, take a MSF class or google Jerry "Motorman" Palladino. Nobody knows more about slow speed handling than motor cops....
The MSF course is well worth the money and I highly recommend it to any rider, not just new riders.
find a friend with a dual sport bike... i have borrowed mine to a few different friends to take their test on... much easier to do on a light dirt bike...
^ Been a while since I looked but I think these days Cali issues two different licenses for bikes. Not sure how that'll effect people who take the test on a smallish one. May not matter though, I'm too lazy to look it up.
One thing I do like is they have handicapped plates for motorcycles. I have loads of fun with that.
