Any 1j guys with shaftmaster shafts?

I will be getting a 1 piece aluminum driveshaft from shaftmasters.

My question is are there any 1j guys running this shaft, and if so did they just use the 7m/154 shaft or did they have it legnthened (sp) to make up for the shallower 1j bellhousing?

Spoke with Robert at shaftmasters and he didn't think anyone with a 1j had done the 1 piece aluminum shaft but I thought I would ask.

Just measure from the Seal on the trans to the Diff flange and give that measurement to Robert he'll do the rest

I thought if you were using the R154 for your swap you could use the original Turbo driveshaft meaning they're the same?? If this isn't correct could somebody please chime in as I'm going to be doing the same thing as the OP soon.

my 1j uses the r154 and my driveshaft from a 7m turbo fit right in like stock

That's good to know. So it's safe to assume the JZ engines are slightly longer than the 7M and the bellhousing makes up for that difference.

yes you are correct, I noticed this just the other day with my 7m auto trans and 1j auto side by side.

I have the aluminum driveshaft from shaftmasters in my 1jz r154 setup and it works fine with the stock length intended for the 7M. That's how I ordered it to replace my steel (local made) 1 piece shaft which was for my 7M back in the day and it fit fine too.

Got a 1pc alum from shaftmasters with a r154 no fitment problems and no other issues..
