i have a greddy bov kit i purchased from titan last year, and can't use it because my car like to stall at idle, and it is a bitch to get started again. but i was wondering if anybody has the same kit and is not having trouble with it. if not, how is it hooked up? the way mine is, i have the greddy installed, with the vacuum line from the stock bov on it. do i need to get rid of the stock bov and replace it with one hose back to the inlet pipe. if your bov works without any stalling, how is it hooked up? and what did you do with the stock one?

i have a greddy type S and it works just fine, i thought the bov was leaking but it was just a damaged IC pipe. i vouch for greddy it shouldnt give you any problems. dont tamper with the stock bov, well i wouldn't. i ran the vac line to the intake manifold, well i have a 1j.

some people don't have trouble with them, and some do. i understand why the car dies, but i don't understand why some don't. what's the difference? i'm going nuts looking at it everyday and not being able to hook it up.

Some cars just backfire when the BOV isn't recirculated (like mine), others stumble and die. It really depends on the temperment of the individual car. If you want to cure the issue, recirculate it like mentioned above. Does this BOV have a horn shaped outlet at the end of it? If so, you may need to get creative on how to recirculate.

i have the type-s. it doesn't have the horn on the end of it. i have recirculated it in the past, but i couldn't hear it anymore. could it be the spring tension on the valve? it doesn't sound like it leaks at ide though. if i leaned out the a/f with my safc-2 at ide, would that help?

Try adjusting the BOV (it is an adjustable one, right?).
i have tightened it in the past, and for a while the car seems normal. after a few days or even several weeks, it has the same problem again. can the spring loosen itself via vibrations from driving? is it a case of just having to re-tighten it every now and then?

If you still have an AFM, its bound to stall at some point. You need to cap off the ports for the stock bov and tighten the greddy up or keep the stocker there and use a T fitting and connect vacuum lines from it and the greddy at the stock location (so you'll be using two bov's). If you want to vent it to atmosphere i.e. not recirculate it you really need to convert to a speed density setup like maft pro.
