i'd personally go with a steel one. those aluminium driveshafts, i've seen them break really easily, so i wouldn't trust my luck with it & it also being 100$ cheaper.

I'd go with the aluminum. They are good to 400ish HP.

IIRC - the steel driveshaft is about 15lbs which is already a good weight savings. The aluminum only shaves off another 4lbs or so with increased cost and vibration.

Thread I started a while back and talks about all of them. I got the jawsgear steel 1-piece. The quality is excellent and it weighs about 14 lbs. The aluminum is 12 lbs I believe.

yea there's a lot of threads on the driveshafts around here 
but even for the weight difference between the two i believe the steel one has better durability & reliability then the aluminum one. My friend of mines saw an aluminum r154 driveshaft break into at the track once.

aluminum is fine and should have LESS vibration as it naturally dampens it
it does eventually harden and can possibley break down the road, but remember than aluminum is twice as strong as steel for the same weight...
it's up to you, but they use aluminum on production cars as well...
