yea there's a lot of threads on the driveshafts around here :p but even for the weight difference between the two i believe the steel one has better durability & reliability then the aluminum one. My friend of mines saw an aluminum r154 driveshaft break into at the track once.

aluminum is fine and should have LESS vibration as it naturally dampens it

it does eventually harden and can possibley break down the road, but remember than aluminum is twice as strong as steel for the same weight...

it's up to you, but they use aluminum on production cars as well...
