The alarm has 2 power inputs. one from the CIG fuse and the other from the DOME fuse.

Whats the problem that you are having?

i have had this for a while. i had the other thread saying that when i took out my stereo (stock) my car fail to start. i found out the previous onwer rewired the arlarm and took it out of the alarm box. I got it start after that. The other day i wanted to test if my stereo works or not, because it wasnt working. Thats y i took it out at the 1st place. Now it fails to start again. And i fixed my alarm after i found out that i was rewired. Alarm worked fine. But since i tested my stereo its not starting and my alarm doesnt work any more. No lights when locked. I think i may have blowned fuse or sumthing. I searched TSRM but couldnt find where fuse location is. Can u please tell me where they are spose to be?? thanks a lot

I just said in the last post, its the DOME Fuse and the CIG fuse.

The DOME fuse is in the engine bay fuse box.

The CIG fuse is in the drivers kick panel fuse box.

Sound like there are still grimlins in your wiring. best be is to get rid of the alarm cause it is worthless if the car is a manual trans, cause you can push start the car with the alarm going off.

If you search, you will find things about removing the alarm from the car, cause I have explained it a number of times to others and it is very simple to do. Only requiers one wire to be hooked back up to ground and no more crappy alarm.

AFAIK, taking the fuses for the security system won't disable the starter kill.

that is correct, with the fuse pulled, the car should start. The only other thing that I can think of is that the alarm needs to be reset.

Put all the fuses back in and lock all the doors, then one by one unlock the driver, then passanger, then open the hatch all with the key. The hatch part generally does not need to be dune, but just to be on the safe side, might as well.

I still am thinking that it is electrical Grimlins being that stuff has been rewired.

Yeah, the wire that you have to ground is pin #13 and it is a blue with orange stripe/tracer wire. if this wire is not grounded, the starter will not work.

If you have had to play with the shifter or the wiring in the past to get it to start, the it sounds like the neutral safety switch is going of gone bad and obviusly will cause starting problems.
