So for those of you that know body work how hard is this going to be to fix? It's the driver side floor pan under the seat. I have no idea how to do any of this so I'm probably gonna hafta pay for it just looking for an idea of how involved this is. Like is there a patch panel or something like that I can buy and spot weld in?

would have to cut it out and weld in a new one. unless you could remove the rust and seal it. not sure if its all the way through

It's definitely all the way thru. Is this something that a decent body shop should be able to fix pretty easy? Or is this gonna take a lot of time?

start with finding a donor car and cutting the floor out to transplant into yours. It will be much cleaner and should minimize bodyshop costs (aside from the welding that is)

If you join the MK3 buy/sell/trade group on facebook, there are a few people parting out cars. You could ask them to cut the panel out before they scrap the car.

Thats a great idea. Show them pics of your damaged area to give them an idea of how much they need to cut. Try to get as much floor pan as you can so you can trim what you need for the repair. I would also request that driver seat mount tab with some area around it just in case.

Are you a member on there? I tried to join but I'm still waiting for approval.

I haven't checked the rear side pockets but the rest of the car is pretty clean besides one spot by the targa there's a pin hole there that's starting to get bigger. But I'll check those side pockets tonight
