woke up this morning and a thought popped into my head. tell me why it won't work.
would there be any plusses to designing a turbo with a spiral shuttered inlet that will open and close with the speed of the engine?
a smaller inlet would allow less air while a bigger inlet = more air. this wouldn't have any effect on spool up time though, because that's dependent upon the hot side, right? never owning a turbo, im not sure if this is right or not.
im trying to find pics but can't think of a name to search for.
