EDIT ITS NOT FUEL CUT
well i decided to put back my MBC and it holds at 20 psi. with no problem.

I am now convince that its an avcr setting.

anyone incounter this problem?

*********

Heres what happend. my original set up consist of:
S-afc, vpc and mbc +(external wasgate)(ofcourse big turbo +supporting mods)

With that set up i can crank up the boost and not have any problem (just retune the safc) I have crank it up to 20+ psi and didnt have a problem.

and then i decided to get a EVC since my boost wasnt as consistant like i want it to be on high PSI.

and Ive decided to purchased an apexi AVCR from IJ.

and after wiring and reading i cant get it to work right.

When the files are turned off. it runs solid using only the wasgate spring (8PSI) and after working with the valve duty i can get it to work to about .95 bar.

any higher and it seem to hit fuel cut.

Any ideas? I have recheck the wiring like 4 times already and resoldered everything. i must havemist something or misunderstood something.

Now the pluming goes as follow. the side nipple of the WG goes to a T wich leads to the turbo comp. nipple and the other end to the AVCR valve.

the bottom nipple of WG (or top nipple depends on how you look at it) goes directed to the AVCR Valve.

any sudgestion would be great thanks

I'm pretty sure you mean IJ.

What is your fuel pressure set at? I had to raise my fuel pressure a little to keep me from hitting fuel cut, but that was on my 1j. Good luck.

ur right its IJ edited.

and i believe its at 35.

But the thing that confused me is IF it is FC why NOW? I used a MBC and hit 20+ PSI on it and NO FC? now i cant even raised it up to 15+

How long ago was it that you used the MBC? Maybe temperature change had an affect on it, but I don't really know. Do you have stock injectors? If so then you can easily raise your fuel pressure up to about 43psi, but I would raise it a little at a time with the vacuum line off.

I see you have the 550's. Try raising the fuel pressure up a little and see if that helps with the fuel cut and see if it effects you running rich or not. You may have to pull a little fuel with your SAFCII. Good luck.

Describe exactly what it does when it falls over please?

ok so let say i set it to boost 1.5 and I set the valve duty to around 30% for the first run.

and then go WOT at 3rd. The first thing is it boost fine till all of a sudden it feels like it hit a wall and then accelerate again. (kinda like fuel cut)

When i look at the peak using peak and hold function the duty shows 90% when i only set it at 30%.

basically i dont know why the duty is goin up that high and its not even Full boost its still spooling.

Sportin: Did you initialise the AVCR when you received it?
(this will reset it to defaults and wipe all of my settings)

nope. i look trough all the setting and nothing explain why its doing what its doing

this is the sensor I was refuring to, the VPC pressure sensor. Not the Apexi sensor.

yup its installed right.

There is a table for duty cycle each 1000 rpms check that I didn't leave my settings in there.

ok well I decided to reset everything. and still doing the same thing. :icon_evil this is driving me crazy.

Is the duty cycle even supose to go up higher than set? because i always set it low(around 40-60) but when i use the peak hold it shows 90% duty cycle

No it's meant to go to the set DC

How did you reset it?

Have you ran the diagnostics to confirm it's all working yet?
i use the initialise to reset everything.

and yup.

is there a switch or an option where i can tell the controller if its a external wasgate or an internal one like the hks?

I come from a land down under
I'd try plumbing it to the bottom port on the WG so it's like an EXT and see how it behaves, as I said I've never used it with an external gate so this is all guesswork at my end sorry.

It was 100% stable with the internal gate so it's not an electronic issue.
(this will all help me once I get mine back together though)

I'm hoping one of the guys here that runs an AVCR + Ext WG jumps in and helps :)

OK so today i basically went over THE WHOLE car to try to figure things out.

AND the GOOD news is that i was able to fix the solinoid cycle problem. so it hits solid boost(under 15 psi) and solid duty cycle.

The bad new is it has the same problem. It wont let me pass 15 psi.

Its Trowing code 34 even with my mods if i use the AVCR to raise the boost IF i use a MBC it doesnt.

NOTE:
-There no boost leak
-There no Vacume leak
-new plugs
and everything is in good working order.

If i run less than 15 psi EVERYTHING is SOLID.

BUT if i raise it then we got a problem.

Is the AVCR not compatible with VPC?
