I had ordered & received a replacement clutch disc for my 87T a couple years ago...long story short, the 7M blew up, I pulled/parted it and the car has sat ever since, waiting for the 1JZ to go in.

Today, I was putting together all the drivetrain bits in order to bolt the tranny back onto the 1JZ. It turns out the clutch disc that I ordered 2 years ago doesn't fit onto the input shaft of the tranny!

It is an ACT 6-puck sprung disc...Part No. 6240608 (on both the disc and packaging). All the websites I've looked at, including ACT, list this disc for the 7MGTE Turbo...Any idea what the heck happened? Wrong info?

I sure hope I can still exchange this one for the proper disc (never been used)... :(

Hmmm, weird why they list both the 6240607 and 6240608 for the 7MGTE.

Thanks for the input!

EDIT: Apparently the clutch discs are the same between the R154 and the W58! What gives...?

They're still different disks, but the sprines are the same.

You're in luck because I have a good memory and remember ACT having a run of clutch disks with the splines being too small several years ago. Contact a dealer (like Driftmotion) and see what they can do for you.

I've contacted the company who I bought it from in the first place, but they were no help. Then I contacted ACT and they've requested pictures of the disc...who knows, maybe it has something to do with that bad run?
