A quick question about copper spray

Is copper spray generally used on regular head gaskets as well as metal hg's? I have my donor gte on the stand and saw that copper spray was used but I am trying to figure out if the engine has a Metal hg on it.

it won't do squat for a MHG, some people have done it but it's useless

Fine on MHG's if you reuse the gasket and the Viton coating is damaged, you strip it off seperate the layers give them a spray with copper and reassemble.

There's a spot towards the right front of the head where you can see the gasket sticking out a little give it a poke with a screwdriver to see what it's made from.
