A/C fan speed help

I found the replacement part on rockauto.com. Looks like some solder might fix it. Is this resistor under the dash on the right or left? I will do some looking around and try to find it. Thanks for the help!

The blower motor resistor is the little sensor looking thing with a bunch of coils wound and soldered on, doesnt look like solder would actually melt on it as i've tried it before, its much better to replace so you would not have to worry about it in the long run :)

yep thats the piece. the low is the highest resistance wire and so breaks first. a rejoin is just a band aid fix, it will break again. a new one will last much longer.

That's the one. You *can* solder it, but I've never had any luck making that last more than about a year. They aren't expensive anyway.

Part number is 87138-24030, cost should be about $25 with a decent discount from any of the places that likes us.
