I've got a question about my factory security system, maybe someone knows the answer...couldn't find anything in search that really pertained to my question.
So, one thing I noticed when I bought my car last year, was that (to me) there seems to be an issue with the door locks. On my old '87, no matter which door you locked/unlocked, both would lock/unlock. Also, I could use the key to pop the trunk while the doors were locked without the alarm going off. Now, on my '91, I noticed popping the trunk with the key while the alarm is armed will set it off (upgrade, I figure). The issue I noticed though, is that on the '91, if I unlock the car on the passenger side, it unlocks both doors...but, if I unlock the car on the driver's side, it only unlocks the driver's side door. Locking either door with the key will lock both though. Is this normal for the '91 security system? Or do I have a wiring gremlin I've got to chase down...?
Thanks guys!
