I remember a magazine doing a 1/4 mile time of around 15.5 or so. I expect to see people around here in the 16s or above, either due to bad driving or worn down engines (or both).

I haven't timed mine yet, but it's probably not good.

I second that, turbo model as well. Our cars are GT cars, 1/4 mile is more an american thing.

My buddys nissan runs a 15.7 seconds in the quarter mile.

My supra had a short shifter, intake and some other small things and i beat him by 5 cars at around 1320 feet.

Take that as you please :)

Now, my cars just a little bit faster ;)

The last time I was at the track I ran a 15.4 with two subs, two amps, and a 130lb backpack. When I ran that time, the center drive shaft carrier bearing in my car was bad and the rear clunked a little, so i would expect about a 15.2 with all of those things fixed and all of the extra weight out.

I saw a 16 flat. The only upgrade was a 3" exhaust. That was only one run too so It can probably be cut down a tad.

I thought Texas was in America.......:)

Si Senior :)

I meant more of an american competition. You see a lot more domestics geared for 1/4 mile. I am refering to stock configuration of course. In this day and age you can build just about any car into a 1/4 mile drag car. Nothing wrong with it, I was just agreeing our cars are more ment for GT competition.

Just kidding guys........
I love Texas !
Wide open roads,
Few radar traps,
and that sign that they put on the interstate as you drive in:
"All cars in left lane MUST yeild to faster traffic" !

What? where?

I haven't seen those, the latest is "LEFT LANE FOR PASSING ONLY." Makes sense LOL.

Nobodys mad at ya, I still need to take the Mustang to the 1320 to get an ET, I have been reading, 13.5 to 14.1 in the 1/4. I want to see what mine really does. I know my luck, I'll run a 15.1 and be too embarrassed to post it!

They used to be on I-35 just as you drove into the Lone Star state.
Kind of made up for having to drive through Oklahoma to get there........
(now I did it, I will have every one in Oklahoma after me!)

I figure my tired 90% stock N/A is roughly around the 16.5 mark. Havent been to the track to get an official slip but that is what the butt-o-meter tells me.
