A Viper DID dip in the 7's before us. Their best was a 7.98, we just took the record over! :D 7.99 then a 7.91 to back it up!

I saw that video about a week ago. a tip for people with a quick internet connection, follow the link on youtube, and look at the several videos of this pass and the others that followed, in HD, that shits like your really there!

Cool. But I bet that record won't hold up long to the viper. I love seeing how the viper and the MK4 supra are constantly breaking records in the 1/4 mile and 1 mile.

Here is a twin turbo viper, 1900hp ran a 7.99 1/4...I find it funny that a V10 with twin turbos is battling agianst our inline 6's with a single turbo :biglaugh: They say world record,, does that mean world record 1/4 mile for a street car? cause i know there are drag supras and drag vipers that run faster than 7.9

The "world record" they are claiming is the "6 speed IRS" category. Neither of the vids you posted are cars in that category.

Ummm, i cant beleive you dont know that, it stands for Independent Rear Suspension, and whatever record thats being held by a 7M MK3, is probably going to be shattered by the man that posted above you ;)

I doubt Slow66 is IRS...... I think someone in Puerto Rico might have the IRS record for a MKIII with a 7mgte with a 5 speed, Please feel free to correct me if i am wrong....
