about half disappears in taxes, and i think you can turn in old nonwinning tickets for tax exemption if you win on one.

so in theory, if you bought 1 ticket in every possible combination for this drawing, you'd be guaranteed to earn money. (Hopefully nobody else wins, then you're screwed)

in illinois you can get it in a lump sum or take it dispersed evenly for 26 years i believe.

Id just take it in a lump sum i think. I mean you figure about 150 million with interested is anyone from 15-20k a day sitting in the bank. I like those numbers

the pot was split between two people. One in New Jersey and I think the other in Georgia. Too bad I only got one number and it wasn't even the Bonus Ball.

haha....yeah

370 million bucks

over 26 annual payments it becomes like 246 million after taxes

lump sum = 15? million. Seriously. Are you gonna get 100 million bucks in interest? What happens when you blow it all and go bankrupt. Efffff that. 10 mill a year would work for me.

Sadly it's back down to 12 million

no I didn't buy tickets.

just read the news, an old guy in georgia (60s?) won half. he took the cash option which gave him 116.5 mil, then after taxes its around 80 million. still something i wouldnt argue about.

when asked what he'd do with the money, he said "i think ill buy my daughter a house. she's been wanting to move out of her mobile home for a long time."
