OK, so still no huge progress. I have purchased a 1JZ flywheel, and 1JZ motor mounts. I am waiting for more funds and then I will start my R-154 rebuild. So while I wait, I have been cleaning. Here are a few pics. Also I am having a FFIM fabed right now and will post pics as soon as I get it (very similar to hotscennesy's). Also, not done with the valve covers yet, but they are getting there.

Looking good man! That polishing is a bitch huh? I did the upper intake manny on the 88. Not but once! Found a guy in town with the right tools. Paid for the next one. It was soo worth it. He did a better job anyway.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Ok, so I dropped the engine in today to see how it looks and to see how the FFIM was going to clear the hood. It doesn't clear!!!! Oh well, it is a 4" OD plenum. So I am going to try a 3.5" OD plenum and move it down more on the runner plate. Does anybody else have any suggestions? I'll get more pice when the FFIM is done.

modify the hood, cut the runners down and reweld or go with a short-runner style and eliminate the top piece

I think I am going to try a 3.5" plenum. The 4" plenum is not welded on yet, so I think that is the best way. The hood is pretty close to closing. P5150, I looked at your and like the way you did it. I am not welding mine together and have had help doing it. I wish I had welding skills. I want to keep the same idea and try to make it work. I am doing mine alot like hotscennessy did his. I think he used a 4" and got his to work. Just thought maybe I was missing something?

No, there is a friend of ours up hear named Kenny. He drives a blue MK3 turbo. I think it is a 1990 also. As far as electronics go, I am shooting for using the 7M CPS and probably 1 or 2 JZGTE coils and if I can afford it, the Stinger EMS. If you see any 2JZGTE valve covers for sale let me know.

I don't know for sure but I know i have seen a few that are over 700hp. Hotscennesy is right at 600whp . I think I saw something about a guy that was pushing over 900hp. :aigo: That may not be true. For me it will be whatever I can push a set of MKV turbo 550cc injectors to.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe Dave H runs a stock 2jzge NA-T that is suppose to be one of the fastest NA-T utilizing a stock block and his custom kit. I have installed his kit on my bros sc300 and at just 5 psi he makes 294 rwhp and 305 rwtrq. That is with the stock injectors, stock head and block (even stock head gasket), and a walbro 255 fuel pump and a SAFC2 to tune it. It was dynoed at DSR in San Jose. I have been contemplating on that swap after I saw the amount of power he made and for a lexus that heavy...it just hauls...Good luck on your build and keep us updated.

Ya, I think Dave H is the one with over 900whp or something crazy like that. I wonder what compression he has cuz i know its not stock.
