Considering that I don't have decent service anywhere around, first want to ask for an opinion over here.

2JZ running 5W30 develops a clear knock when it gets hot. The second I get RPM over 1k the knock either disappears or I simple can't distinguish it out of the all noises.

Any ideas what can it be? Other that this nasty knock, no real concerns about the engine: oil level stays the same, no obvious power loss.

I'm thinking about camshafts, heard it is a common issue for JZs.

Sounds like a valve lifter to me, as it "vanishes" when RPM increases.
Rod knock usually follows RPM's, it sounds like this doesn't.

I don't know if this is what's going on in your case. But my 2j had a knock when it warmed up, and it ended up being the bearing in the idler pulley.
