Hey, I'm kinda glad I've been held up on getting the 7M rebuilt.
A friend of mine just called from the junkyard because an SC400 got dropped off with some severe rear end damage, 1UZ perfectly intact.
I've already got the big ass tire to drop it in in the back of my truck.
My boss gave me the OK to take a half personal day. She's awesome... and IT'S MINE!

damn! that's awesome. i'm assuming he's putting it in his supra- i'm either going to put a 7mgte in my '94 pickup, or a 1UZ. :) probably go with the 7m. good luck!

I'm enjoying telling people I put a lexus v8 in my pickup. Hey, mines a 94 too... its got a 10:1 comp, mild cammed 22RE, intake + exhaust... I blew by a ricer civic with the v8 in the back, that was satisfying.

BTW I have been lurking at lextreme since early on

Yeah it's going in my MKIII, which has been undergoing huge bodywork at a slow pace... it should be painted this spring/summer though.

how much are the 1uz's worth? with ecu and harness....

Jay, you can pick them up for cheap cause there is no demand for them cause they never break and they are not big enough yet in the swap and performance world.

I picked up mine for $300, but it was not 100% complete and no harness or ECU cause I'm using my stand alone. I have seen complete running motors for as cheap as $350 and up from there. The average that I seem to see is around $600. I would think that the ECU and harness would add much more then a couple of hundred to the total.

I ended up paying almost $500 for the whole mess, including transmission computer, ECU, AFM and labor for pulling it out. I'm gonna get some of that back after I bring in cores.
