Alright this is the deal, I have a 1jz supra runing a ''16 electric radiator fan with no shroud (Im such a genius:nono:) and that engine has run hot numerous times(8 times roughly) on the highway, 87-93 daytime ambient tempatures but only for a few seconds because I would pull over and shutdown engine. It wouldn't run hot when I did 1st.-3rd gear pulls ,but when its a prolonged amount it does. I haven't done a compression test nor leakdown test ,aside from the head being possibly warpped can the block deck be aswell?

the 1jz is just as vunerable to damage from over heating as the 7m.

they are both aluminum head, cast iron block motors.

the block deak can warp though it takes more heat to do it.

Thats exactly what im thinking the only sure way to know is to check the surfaces with a straightege.

Thanks for the feedback

i would pressure test the cooling system and do a compression test (and leak down test if possible) before tearing the thing apart.

if everything checks out, just get your cooling system up to par.

Alright cool , also can the CIRCUIT OPEN relay go bad and shutdown the fuel pump car while driving?

What happens or the procedure for a leak down test?
Basically you trun engine to top-dead center of the suspect cylinder's compression stroke. Next remove spark plug and install air hose adapter with pressure guage then inject pressurerized air in cylinder according to specs, the ability of that cyclinder to retain pressure will be verified thru the gauge. If you see it slowly dropping you have a leaking cylinder if not do a couple of back flips and call it a day.
