1.5JZ parts list

So I've decided to build a 1.5JZ. Not out of want, but out of need. I've been reading up and so far, I've figured out that I need:

2JZ Timing Belt & Idler
2JZ Water Neck
2JZ Bypass Tube

I really need to do this on a tight budget. I've got leads on a few GTE short blocks. Will I need to change anything else? Will the 1JZ flywheel work? Am I out of my mind?

Also, stock 1JZ twins.

Seriously, though, is this it? Or do I need more?

the 1jz flywheel will work just as long as you are still using the r154 and 7m clutch. i've seen many threads on this, you should search it and you will get definite answers

There is a guy on here selling the 2jz bypass tubes. It's a good deal and will save you a lot of time trying to have one welded.

I personally welded mine twice ,but it was always too short. Finally I used a home depot "insert piece" + radiator hose + two clamps to do the ghetto style - no problems so far.

Sweet. Now what exactly does this eliminate the need for? The bypass tube, or the water neck?

It allows everything from the 1j cooling system to be retained.
