nice, i'm not even done with my 1j swap yet n i'll be gathering a list of parts to go 1.5jz later in life lol

yeah bigzavs basically talked me into a 1.5j among others and someday I'll end up doing it.. but I really want to see where the 1j can take me, I think a lot of people are too quick in moving to the 3L. that being said, it certainly is an interesting endeavor as well as a fun one. GL

I've seen 1JZ go 600-700hp on stock bottom end. I'll continue to rock mine till it blows then 1.5 is definitely another option.

I have read that 1.5 JZ's were 2JZ block and bottomend with the 1JZ head. I thought about doing that but I'm pleased with 1JZ set up for now.

The Soarer that made it in the latest issue of Modified magazine is pushing 750 RWHP on a stock 1J bottom end.

Just curious what kind of torque was that making at lets say...um...3500rpm?

There's a lot of variables...
Otherwise, for being "mostly stock" internals,
My 1.5JZ has one violent/unique sound to it. ;)

3 Litre's or bust! :biglaugh:
