Does anybody have any idea how big the little ball bearing is that allows the left stalk to switch between high and low beams? I've lost mine and I'm stuck on high beams now, and it'd be nice to replace. There's a spring behind it so it's probably still touring the world.
I bought the entire unit as seen on the bottom of this diagram (inside the box):

It seems to me like the terminals would be pretty tough to get to, since they're connected far down on the harness well into the steering...
I just bought the entire harness used in order to get the headlight switch. I'm wondering, do you think I can disconnect the switch from the new harness and put it on the old one, or is de-pinning more complicated than I'm thinking?

I realize this is an old thread, but I'm curious: isn't wiring in a new headlight switch fairly complicated? There's no no plug for the headlight wires, so they need to be soldered or attached in some other way, correct?

Did you need to remove the charcoal canister on the passenger side (near the heater core inlet) to do this? Which of the two hoses going into the heater core did you use as an "outlet"?
