If you don't need to use the meter every day this one will work just fine.
Yeah, almost forgot about those places. The only hard part is you have to be there at the right time in order to find what you need. I used to check these places every day while I was stationed at Camp Zama. Man, I miss Japan.
Have him look around for a place called "Parts Off". When I was there in Japan, I use to buy my parts from there. It is a place that salvages performance parts and then sales them after they refurbish them.
In the Nov. 2006 issue of Road and Track on page 34, it talks about Toyota bringing back the Supra. Some of the specs are reported as being based on the Lexus IS platform, base engine would be the 3.5 ltr 2GR-FSE V-6, 350 bhp @ 7000 rmp, with 290 lbs-ft @ 5000. Curb weight 3200 lbs and a base...
^^ I don't think he is talking about the o-rings that are used to seal the injector to the fuel rail. The grommets I got with my 550's were loose also, I just reused my old ones and had no leaks. When I finally did a complete overhaul on my motor, I changed them out with the set that came with...
I wonder how many more people are having the same problem. If this was a poor design of the oiling system, I would feel that SP should take resposability for it. My SP61gt spent 6 month total being repaired out of the 1 year warranty period, then when I opted for the B.B. upgrade, there was...
The Sp61GT is oil cooled only and the SP61gtBB is both oil and water cooled.
I happen to agree that the failures of these turbos is an oiling issue or rather the lack of it. The -3AN line with the restrictor that they provided, just did'nt make much sense to me for an oil cooled only turbo.
twinturbozs, got your pm and replied.
Well so far so good. Three weeks and counting but then again I have only boosted to 15psi three times so far. I guess I am holding back because I don't want this turbo to crap out on me. I hope to start boosting to 25psi soon so we'll see how that goes...
Just got my SP61gt back from Sound performance. It also crapped out on me two times within a one year period, each time I spoke to Tim he would tell me that they found small metal flakes inside. This time around I opted for the B.B. upgrade which cost me $1200.00 on top of what I already paid...
It could be bad seals on your turbo, When you checked for shaft play I bet you checked on the intake side. Remove the elbow and check for any oil.

You also might be able to use a Capacitor. Depending on what a "Split Second" is, it takes time for the capacitor to charge and then discharge and flow at it's rated voltage.
