    Throttle Cable Measurement Inquiry

No problem, I was bored and curious after a few of the other comments. 87 hardtop. 89+ moldings, mirrors and tails. But I cant do without the pre89 bumper. So whats with the different length cables? And who cars what motor he has in his car? were all doing the same thing, just using...

    Throttle Cable Measurement Inquiry

That would make things a bit more difficult, junkyards around here are like playgrounds. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-SUPRA-86-5-92-THROTTLE-CABLE-M-T-7MGE-/231014714504?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35c98ccc88&vxp=mtr

    Throttle Cable Measurement Inquiry

I'd try both, neither would be too hard or expensive to get from a junk yard.

Power steering line "popped" out, not sure how to fix/where it belongs. Help!

That looks like the fuel evap line. Its supposed to go to the charcoal canister but thats gone. Either tuck it into a hole so the fuel vapors exit the engine bay, cap it off, or reinstall the egr system. Also that would have nothing to do with the power steering problem.

Oh the CARNAGE! *not for the faint of heart*

88 targa, taken from me while she was parked for the night by a drunk driver. Sad story, just glad I wasn't in it. It was pushed a full car length forward, and up into the neighbors lawn. His poor 4x4 ranger suffered from a broken tie rod end and scuffed chrome bumper.... The cop...

No modifacation required, door tweeter upgrade

I havnt seen this done anywhere so I thought I'd share. Not sure what brought me to do this, but my girl has a 5th gen celica, I pulled off her mirrors and threw up my old 88 mirrors to see how they looked. With a small notch ground out for one of the screws, they fit almost perfect and...

    Opinion on fuel gauge appreciated

I just jumped 3 and 4 again and nothing happened i clipped a test light to the jump wire and grounded it. The test light is super dim and the gas gauge raises. When I ground 4 out by itself the needle drops....

    Opinion on fuel gauge appreciated

Well I just tried and tested a second gauge that I had laying around. The resistances are approximately the same as the fitst gauge. Repeated the same test with jumping pin 3 to pin 4 and nothing happened. I see in the tsrm picture for the 'inspection of gauge' that there is a ground somewhere...

    Opinion on fuel gauge appreciated

My fuel gauge worked fine while it was in the 88 but since I've swapped it into the 87 it hasn't worked. I left the tank from the 87 on so I figured it was just a bad sender. When that tank finally started leaking I put the tank from the 88 on and still no luck. The gauge just sits around a...

starts up but dies help please?

I know this is super old so I'm sorry to bring it back up, but I have not solved this one. A lot has been done since I started this post. The 88 targa was smashed by a drunk driver. I bought a 87 hardtop and swapped EVERYTHiNg from the 88 over to the 87 but the subframes, so I was able to...
