There's this one http://www.suprasport.com/LIPP-Front-Facing-Intake-Manifold_p_5506.html
Also pricey but has a lot of options for whatever you want. I don't have it so i can't say anything about the fit or quality, just posting a link.
For the 1j to fit, I believe it has to be cut halfway down...
I'm assuming you're taking it apart yourself (as in not paying, not necessarily alone) as driving somewhere to have someone pull it apart and do all the work would be very costly. You can either take it to a machine shop, whether it be one that you don't trust or find another one that is outside...
I would run the LOWEST octane available in your area. Higher octane burns slower which has a higher chance of some fuel making it out unburnt.
I did a smog on my car yesterday and passed great. I had just replaced a BHG and burnt valve on it. Other than gaskets, all stock parts are on there...
That is a really neat tool but I think theres a flaw in it. I did some calculations by hand based on the numbers in your sheet when you first open it up. It tells you to do a 1-2 shift at 5490; at 5500 in 1st your car is making 225 at the ENGINE, which would end up at 3308 in 2nd making about...
Ok thanks, thats what i figured that it was a missing option since there are 2 of the same connector on each side.
The car runs fine with everything connected the way it is right now, so im guessing all the things that are still disconnected are things i dont have. I just need to replace the...
OK, i looked at the oil pressure sending unit and it is already connected. So now the oil pressure and thermostat are both connected, and there is an extra single pin square gray connector, just like those other 2, that doesnt seem to go anywhere. It comes out of the harness right behind the...
To make sure youre on the right stroke without pulling the cam cover off, you can place a paper towel over the spark plug hole and turn the crank. Both the intake and exhaust valves are closed during compression/power strokes so it will blow air out of the spark plug hole and blow at the paper...
Thanks for the help.
Im sure one of them goes on the thermostat housing, but there is another on in the same area, around the power steering that i dont know what it goes to. Ill check the oil pressure.
And there are 2 things i forgot to take a picture of. One is a 1 pin connector, like the one that connects to the thermostat housing on the left side. There is another one in the same area.
The other is a hose hook up on the bottom of the intake, just after the air flow meter.
Any help would...
This last one comes out of the wire harness near the end of the fuel rail at the back. It looks like it was repaired, and i have no clue what it would hook up to. Its not strapped down to anything (i just set it there to take a picture of the connector) its really long and loose.
Hi, i got a 90 GTE manual a few months back and took the head off to change the gasket and fix a burnt valve. I was extremely busy with school and work so it took a while. Everything is back on now, but there are these connectors that dont seem to connect to anywhere. Does anyone know where they...
Hi, i joined a few months back but Ive been extremely busy with work and school, I barely had any time to sleep let alone post on forums. I bought a 90 supra turbo about 2 months ago for 1500 with a burnt valve and am just finishing up putting the engine back together.
