Any of you guys raced a 350z

The wife has an auto 06 350, stock as they come, and I'm running several mods in my 88 w/60 trim & 5sp. She smokes me every time, but only when driving the 7mgte.

    Coilovers questions and help.

+2 Powered by Max. No complaints after several months. Went from stock with tems to these with ST sways front and rear. BIG difference in handling. Can't speak for others which I'm sure have their benes. I read and read and read on the forums and one day just pulled the trigger on Max...

    alignment issues

Props kanji1jz for the evaluation. I'm not too aggressive but I do plan on stepping it up a bit with the recent mods- night and day difference on handling!!! Skill level-nub, tires-toyo proxes t1r (on the stock sawblades)- looking to move up to 17's possible staggered? still researching on the...

    alignment issues

Guys, I'm no mechanic, I just play one on TV:icon_bigg. I just had some ST sways (front/rear) installed and bit the bullet on Powered by Max coilovers. Dropped the car @2" as well and had the lower transverse arms shortened to align. See the before and after alignment #'s. I would think my...

how much psi can be put in the 7mgte with the stock 440cc injectors?

Thx, I like easy math. Looks like I need to switch to 550's if I want to "safely" reach my goal of 450 RWHP. Almost there...gotta upgrade the brakes first though. The CT26 upgrade to a 60 trim I just did pulls like a mutha though :) Who needs cowbell when there's HP- it is addicting for sure.

how much psi can be put in the 7mgte with the stock 440cc injectors?

I'm putting down 17 with many mods according to my boost gauge. I did have my 440's cleaned and flow tested first though. Followed the John B Lunsford school of mods with great success thus far. Gotta get to the track one day soon to see I have any driving skills now- LOL.

    Turbonetics/Performance Techniques in CA.

gottadiesel, I hear ya on the power thing. I thought I would be good with the mods to let her breathe better but after a year I'm no longer satisfied. I just pulled the turbo and there is a little side to side play as well as some minor cracking around the waste gate- unbelievable! I guess...

    Turbonetics/Performance Techniques in CA.

All very encouraging. I picked my MK3 three years ago from the original owner w/64k on it- still a virgin! Since then I've redone the HG, ARP bolts, APEXI intake, Lexus AFM, BIC DDP -3" exhaust- no cat, magna flow muffler, AEM boost controller and wide band, head mild port and polish, hard pipes...

    Turbonetics/Performance Techniques in CA.

Thanks guys! Sounds like a good bet still so I'll be boxing it up this weekend. I wouldn't mind going the way of the JT62 either but cash flow won't let me get there yet with all of the additional supporting mods I have yet to acquire. I guess I'll be taking baby steps still. One day.

Thanks on the Avatar- she was hard to pass on! 2008-it was the first post my search brought me to on Performance Techniques. I figured CajunKenny was online so maybe he'd catch it and I'd get a quick run down.

    Clunking Noise Help

Yea, I replaced the caps but the problem continues. I wish it was that simple this time around. I guess that's why I go by the name momoney88...it's Christmas time so I'll have more time to dig in and shell out mo cash for the fix. It's time to replace fluids (trans and diff) maybe that'll cure...

    Clunking Noise Help

Was wondering if you ever found the problem? My 88 does the same as you describe and the wheel is only partially turned and speeds at which the clunking occurs are slow as you describe. I would think the wheel would have to be fully turned for the plastic stop caps to be the culprit? Going slow...

    Another newb to the site

Name is Eric and I'm running with a Dk Blue 88 GTE. Drove it for @ 1 year before...you guessed it, the head gasket blew. It was bone stock with @65k original miles, cracked leather and a few cuts and bruises on the exterior but nothing I couldn't live with. Since then I've added an HKS 1.2mm...
