nick... haha, no i wasn't offended at all by the right foot comment. :)
ok, so i should check the knock sensor, and the o2 sensor? if those are good, what was the "bad wiring" that starscream referred to?
thanks guys!
dude, read, this thread started a long time ago, the GB is over. it was pulled back up from the mysts of time today.
if the site is under contruction, i'd say no go.
i'm still going to try the email address on page 1.
any other ideas?
also, i'm only assuming this MPG based on where the needle is on the gas gauge. i'll just ride out the first two tanks and see what happens.
my right foot is not heavy at all, nor has it been, ever. besides, i've been taking it easy on the car as i don't want it to break AGAIN 2 days after it's been repaired.
no CEL, no codes, no gas smell.
i will inquire as to whether the 02 sensor was replaced on the refresh, and check the...
i just got my supra fixed up!!! yay! after over a year supraless.
two questions...
1) i had the engine refreshed... the block was inspected, looked fine, everything was machined, all the seals and gaskets on the head and transmission were re-done... i'm about 75 mi into the rebuild, and...
that's just flat out too much trouble. thanks guys!!
i'm just going to redo the console and put the monitor higher up. i'll figure out something for the bottom part.
hey guys, i'm looking for a possible way to shorten the automatic shifter. i'm putting a carpc in the stock location, and really don't want to block the screen as much.
anyone worked with this? i've looked at pretty much every automatic aftermartket knob out there, and none look much shorter.
hey to disagree with the post above... actually you can de-pin the broken plug, and re insert the pins into the replacement. no splicing needed. done it a bunch of times. you just have to have the right tool.
i've got you on the plug man, no charge, just ID it for me, and i'll pop it in...
You can't get a new plug from toyota. I'd go after a junker supra. if you can ID the plug, I have access to a harness that shorted out, (in my parts car) but the plugs are still fine, I can grab that specific one for you and toss it in the mail. I was planning on stripping all of the wiring...
sweet man! thanks!
what's up btw!? long time no talk!
my supraaaa is finally being resurrected after more than a year of being down. :) should be running in a week or so... and i have a load of upgrades sitting in the closet. :)
thanks guys! i guess i'll go with a downpipe.
i'm pretty sure i should be good. the motor is almost done, and it will have new o2 sensors, and a new cat... i'm not concerned.
well i'm looking at replacing my exhaust system while the engine is under the knife... i want to stay legal. i was looking at using a tanabe, a magnaflow direct fit cat, and a yet to be determined downpipe.
if i'm running the 1 cat, will removing the 2nd one in the downpipe keep the...
