if you're running an AEM universal, yeah probably it will work. it might be more work than just using the 2jz stuff, but it should be doable. you have to use the AEM stuff for some things, like the map sensor, if i recall correctly.

ok www.driftmotion.com has the 1jz bellhousings... if you have an 89+ front crossmember, the 1jz and 2jz bolt up. if not, www.bicperformance.com has adapter brackets for the earlier style mounts. if you just need actual motor mounts, get the 2jz ones from toyota or a junkyard. no need to use...

I think all this is very constructive. I'd also like to add something I forgot before. As the SM community is growing, it would probably be a good idea to have a few more mods than right now. Currently I'm not sure how many there are, but I get the impression there are no more than 5...

i dont think the egr valve would be causing numbers that off.... are you getting bad gas mileage too? that's a sure indicator of a bad o2 sensor.

no, there is not one made... however several people have successfully wired the 2jz PnP EMS to the 1jz engine. i believe i read last week on the aempower forums that HPF was developing a converter harness and software/sensor package for this combination.

hmm, well if your exhaust has a hole in it, that might be the problem... :) seriously though... are you throwing any codes? a bad o2 sensor also, could be causing you to run very rich.

did they give you any more information? what state are you in? do you have any fuel mods? what are your other mods?
